Virtocity

An AI-powered theme room, built for a school fair in just 36 hours.

Virtocity

Project Overview

Virtocity was a themed room built for a school fair, designed to give visitors a virtual-like experience powered by AI. Instead of a typical static display, the room combined interactive technology and games that let people engage directly with the space rather than just look at it. The entire build — concept, design, and execution — happened within a 36-hour window, working inside the school with whatever time and resources were available.

Project Goal's

Build a fully functional themed room within a 36-hour window
Use AI-backed technology to create a virtual-like, interactive experience
Let visitors interact directly and play new games inside the room

The Challenge SWOT Breakdown

Strengths
A motivated team willing to work through a tight, condensed build schedule.
Weaknesses
Very limited time, and no room for a second attempt if something failed.
Opportunities
A chance to prove a complex, interactive AI experience could be built fast, inside a school, with no studio or budget.
Threats
Any delay in setup or tech risked leaving the room unfinished for the fair.

Our Approach

Planning & Task Division

With only 36 hours, the first move was splitting the work into clear individual tasks — design, technical setup, and game integration — so people could work in parallel instead of waiting on each other.

Room Design & Layout

The physical space was designed to feel immersive rather than like a typical school display, using lighting, layout, and materials to set the tone for a virtual-like environment.

AI & Interactive Tech Setup

AI-backed technology was integrated to power the interactive elements, giving visitors games and experiences they could actually engage with instead of a passive display.

Assembly & Integration

In the final stretch, the individually built pieces — design, tech, and games — were brought together and tested as one working room ahead of the fair.

The Outcome

Despite the tight 36-hour timeline, Virtocity came together as a fully functional themed room with a unique, immersive design. Visitors were able to walk in and directly interact with AI-backed games and experiences, turning a fast, resource-limited school build into a working, playable space.
